Hotspot available

Since the beginning of september, the Gossip has hotspot available. We have a lot of bed and breakfast hotels in Ieper and there is a big demand from those clients for a hotspot. Ieper doesn't have a hotspot yet on the Leet and there is only one in the center

In the summer of 2008, the Gossip was twice as busy as last year especially because of the new terrace and also more tourism in Ieper.
September is the month of getting new products for the shop. Neuhaus was not sold during the summer season, since there is less demand for the chocolates, but this month we will have again the new selection of neuhaus.

Bodum has a new design "Pavina double glass". This designed had sold very well this year and now i will bring another design in the shop "Bistro glass". These glasses are design for cold or hot drinks and can be used for tea and for coffee.

The New Illy Coffee machine (FRANCIS FRANCIS X7) that works with coffee pods (like the nespresso machines) is available for sale now.

Mövenpick

This summer we decided to have an ice cream cart in the terrace. We wanted to sell a premium ice cream and decided to choose Mövenpick. Customers are quite happy with our choice and the cart outside attracts a lot of people. Even though it is a premium ice cream, we still sell it at a competitive price of 1 € per bowl/cone. Inside the coffee shop you can order for more elaborate ice creams.

An interesting take on hot chocolate by Neuhaus

One of the items that received a very good response from the clients is the 'Neuhaus Chocospresso'. Shaped like praline squares, you can choose from 6 different flavours. Placed in a warm cup of milk, it melts to give a rich and tasty cup of hot chocolate.

Changing from Godiva to Neuhaus

We started with Godiva chocolates, but changed to Neuhaus. Many Belgian clients prefer Neuhaus. Because of the international image Godiva has, many locals do not know it is a Belgian Chocolate. Godiva was also very difficult to deal with, but their displays were good. Gossip is the only shop in Ieper selling premium Belgian chocolates.
